Completely self-contained pre-wired, fully equipped Personnel Air Shower helps solve decontamination problems of personnel entering into Clean Rooms. "Wheel-in, plug-in and walk in". The operator stands in a closed cubicle, subjected to high velocity H.E.P.A. filtered airflows of between 20-30 m/sec, a force that ensures efficient scrubbing action to the clean room garments to remove particulate matter. The air brushing action is obtained from rows of nozzle jets discharging high pressure air angled to the body. The design of the jets is such that the scavenging air reaches the body of the operator with sufficient force to disturb particles lying on the surface of the garment. Unwanted particles are "skidded off" and not driven more firmly into the clothing's texture. Once airborne, the particles are carried away by the downdraught. The doors of the Air Shower are electrically interlocked to make it impossible to pass through into the Clean Room without undergoing the cleaning cycle. Dehumidifiers are water-condensing type, based on "Refrigeration Cycle" to avoid use of expensive chemicals required for desiccant type models.
